Issue with a character I want to transfer

me and my buddy wanted to create a new character on wow. So I went out and bought a classic world of warcraft key so we could do recruit a friend.He recruited me on a separate account. We hit 60 in 5 days which was the plan, then once I hit 60 I would transfer over that character to my main account.


My buddy and I have done this once before but I recruited him and he transferred over his character to his main. The Problem is I am trying to do this now and I am unable to because I have to wait 30days. He didn't wait 30days.

I called the account and billing services number and asked them to merge my 2 accounts into 1 battle.net, because at the moment they are two different battle.net accounts but have the same info. They told me regardless of being same or diff battle.net account I would have to wait 30 days to transfer over my character.


How was my friend able to transfer his character before the 30days and I have to wait. The whole point of me buying a whole new key and doing this was so I could save time, now that I find out I have to wait 30days I might as well have just made a new character on my account and not wasted my money on a classic key.


please help me with this I wish to transfer as soon as possible.

When transferring between Battle.net accounts, the World of Warcraft account the character is currently on must have been on the Battle.net account for at least 30 days before it can be transferred to a different Battle.net account. If both World of Warcraft accounts are linked to the same Battle.net account, you are able to transfer between the accounts immediately. You're welcome to request that the accounts be merged into the same Battle.net account if you'd like; however, this will require another phone call to our Billing department.
