World firsts. Is there such a thing?

Due to the decision to flip the switch on RS while 50% of US realms are currently down, I was wondering if Blizzard will honor world first achievements for the people that defeat this dungeon before 1/2 the US can't even attempt it?

I've heard that Blizzard doesn't officially honor World first achievements.
Is this true?
Is there such a thing as a "Feat of strength" World first Achievement?
If so is Blizzard going to honor it?

Are these feats of strength only "Realm first" Achievements?

I realize that Blizzard has nothing to do with 3rd party websites that report World first achievements, and I realize that 1/2 the realms in the US will have no way to even compete for this, but what I don't know is if Blizzard themselves report World firsts on their Websites, or Achievement system.

So I guess what I'm asking is:

"Is it possible to 'armory' a player's feat of strength page to see a "World first" achievement, or is it only "Realm first" ?

OK
thanks guys.

All the QQ'n going around, about being cheated out of a 'world first' isn't really necessary then, since "World firsts" don't really exist.

Many hardcore raiders believe there is a certain amount of prestige in being the first one to do something.

It is rare that all regions receive the same thing at the same time though so a true world first is difficult to calculate. Technically to calculate such a thing properly it would be necessary to figure out how long after a realm was made live it was accomplished. After all even when all realms are active they are usually made live in batches, not all at once so some realms may have an hours head start. For those realms that are down due to the extended maintenance the community that cares about accomplishment such as this may decide that the fairness is in properly calculating this accomplishment, and not focus on how soon after it was released overall that it took to complete.

I'm not certain where this perception came from, the delay to ensure that the patch processed in all regions was as smooth as possible.

This is what was said by Zaryhm.

Q u o t e:

Actually, they said that it would be up one week after 3.3.5 was deployed on US servers. Today is the one week mark.

Q u o t e:
Due to the fact that we will be delaying the release of patch 3.3.5 in Europe, Korea and Taiwan in order to ensure the patch process in all regions is as smooth as possible, the Ruby Sanctum will not immediately be available on North American realms upon the release of the patch. Once patch 3.3.5 has been released in North America and we are confident about a time when we can open up Ruby Sanctum, we will provide an update here on the forums.

Q u o t e:
Please note due to the way this patch is being applied in all regions, this dungeon will not immediately be available in North America. Stay tuned to our General Discussion forum for an official announcement on the opening of Ruby Sanctum.

That is the official information we released about the opening of Ruby Sanctum.

As noted in the official patch 3.3.5 notes, the release of the Ruby Sanctum was briefly delayed to better align its availability across all regions.

DO YOU NOT EVEN READ YOUR OWN WEBSITE "TO BETTER ALIGN ITS AVAILABILITY ACROSS ALL REGIONS" HMMM NICE ALIGNMENT

To better align its availability means to essentially release it in all regions around the same time. I'm not certain where alignment became synonymous with simultaneous release across all realms and regions.

I UNDERSTAND THAT YOU ARE FRUSTRATED BY THIS ISSUE, VALDARMIRE, BUT YELLING ISN'T GOING TO UNDO WHAT HAS BEEN DONE AND YELLING HERE IS EVEN MORE USELESS.

If you wish to provide your feedback to those who made the decision to release the Ruby Sanctum when it was released you'll want to post in the Suggestion forum. Honestly this bell has already been rung so I'm not certain what the goal is here, especially when you are directing your ire towards the in-game support department.

You misunderstand what these forums are here for, Valdamire.

We are here to assist with in-game issues and provide what advice we can redirecting those who need it when they have issues outside our purview.

This is not a complaints forum and though we can sympathize with a perceived issue we are not in a position to help you with it.
Q u o t e:

It is the companies duty to fully state that all regions will come on line but not all realms not the customers responsibility to read into that statement.

We provided what notification we could, including announcing the extended maintenance on the specific battlegroups. I'm sorry if it wasn't enough for you, as before if you wish to provide feedback regarding the release of the instance or the extended maintenance period post in the Suggestion forum.
