Real ID or Real Harrasment

Over the years I have played numerous Online games from Swg, Lineage,Ultima and this game since beta and the idea for the real ID thing on the forums has shot to the top of the list of bad ideas. Sadly a large portion of the community used there real names for the contact info when making accounts and you are opening them up for levels of abuse I honestly don't think you can fathom.

You speak of using the real Id as a method to curb the trolls, but in fact you will aid them in a way unprescendented in gamming history, you will be handing them the names of any player who did not alter there billing info. Have any of you tried googling anyone lately, better yet have any of you tried looking at the local county courthouse public records that are open for anyone to see anything of notice including divorces, bankrupcies, charges and so on?

Most of the worst trolls are also some of the most proficient at computers and they will create havoc among your player base
