My father tried to add me using my battle.net e-mail address, his friend's list is the new style, mine is the old style. I typed in his e-mail address for Parental Controls, it still did nothing.

What did you guys do to get it working? Why would a select few people have the old style friend's list, where 90% of people have the new style?

The email may be set to something else then.

Parental controls inherited some settings from WoW accounts when they switched over to Battle.net. If you are still having difficulties with this, I'd recommend contacting our Billing department for further assistance.

My best educated guess is with 7 accounts, one of these passed on information to Battle.net. Unfortunately, Game Masters cannot access nor change those settings.

And there was some restoration work just done on this account, have you checked your email and ingame lately?
