Account was hacked tonight during our raid.... Luckily all of my guildmates put tickets in immediately....

My password is reset but there is an authenticator on my account now from the hacker.

Yes yes i know now that I should have been using an authenticator and i will get one immediately......

That being said, items have been deleted off my character but i'm worried that even though i reset my password, that somehow they will still be able to get on?

I am on a different computer posting this and was on it when i reset my password as well while i take security measures on the pc that i was on when the account was hacked.

I'll call support tomorrow when they open, but should i be worried in the meantime about more damage being done?

Are there any steps i have missed? I have emailed support with all the details of the incident as well, and thanks to the gms that immediately reset my password and preventing them from doing more damage then they did.

Well, some damages were done, but looks like early reporting did interrupt them before they did as much as they could have :)

The authenticator is gone, you should be able to access the account with your latest password.

This is also already in the investigation queue from your guildmate's report.

The main thing now is security. How did they come by your password and ID? That question is vital to prevent this from recurring.

This sticky may be useful.

You may also want to look into getting an authenticator for your account. It's no substitute for good security habits, but it will help keep them out of your WoW account.
