And I need to to turn on realid. I am 21 years old but it says that an email has been used for it already when I try to enter mine. I've contacted my parents, and they don't get an email when I request that the link be sent to the email attached to my account. Can somebody help me.

Just to confirm, those of you reporting issues with Parental Controls in this thread are unable to recover access by visiting https://us.battle.net/account/parental-controls/retrieve.html or set up new controls at http://us.battle.net/parents, correct?

I'm simply double-checking to make sure that I understand the issue fully. :)

Macstab, is the account on which you are posting merged with the Battle.net account on which you are attempting to set up Parental Controls?

Thanks, Macstab. :)

I'll going to try to provide what clarity I can, and hopefully walk you through this process. You may inevitably need to contact Account Services for assistance, though. If that becomes the case, I'll let you know right away and provide you all the relevant contact information.

Macstab, I'm showing that a Parental Controls email has indeed been set up for the Battle.net account on which you are currently posting; however, that email is different than one actually registered to the account.

I can help you ensure that the proper email is registered. To do this, I'll need you to click on the forum "Options" button located in the upper right-hand corner of this screen, just under your posting character avatar. Once on the Account Options page, enter in the email you believe you registered for Parental Controls. This email will not be displayed publicly; only you and Blizzard employees will be able to access it. I can then compare that email to one I'm showing as officially registered to Parental Controls on your account.

Thanks for your assistance, Syndri, I've done as requested.

It's not the same address, so that is likely why you're not receiving the recovery email.

And that's okay. I'm betting what happened is that you set up Parental Controls some time ago and simply no longer have access to the original address. Fortunately, Account Services can help! Our representatives will be happy to assist you with setting up the right email address so you can properly access all features within the game.

Billing and Account Services

Also, one trick of the trade for calling in, Macstab, is to spam redial. It sounds silly, but it's actually quite a successful technique.

You may receive a busy message when trying to call in. The reason you'd receive that message is when our phone lines are completely full. This means that all representatives are on the line with other customers and all "on hold" spots are occupied. The good news is that those "on hold" spots free up all the time. So, if you're willing to redial a few times, you're very likely to get through. :)

Edit: I just recovered my old e-mail address, the one I originally used to set up my WoW accounts, and the e-mail is there, but with my new e-mail address on it. I do not know what to do. Do I go to the new e-mail or do I copy paste that link somewhere?

Just saw your edit!

So, just to make sure I understand, you recovered your old email address, and the Parental Controls recovery email is there? If so, your current email address (the one registered to your Battle.net account) is probably included in that email to denote which Battle.net account the controls are set up for.

Would you mind forwarding the email you receive, though, to [email protected]? I'll be better able to instruct you that way. :)

I just did the same, if you can help me as well that'd be great :)

The email you've listed in your forum options is different than the one currently registered to your account's Parental Controls. If you're unable to access that other email, then you will want to contact Account Service for assistance. I listed the contact information a few posts up. :)

Same here

Mairick, the email you've listed in your forum options is also different than the one currently registered to your account's Parental Controls. If you're unable to access that other email, then you too will want to contact Account Service for assistance. As noted, I listed the contact information a few posts up. :)

Basnak, you may want to refer to this advice that I provided Macstab earlier:

I have tried to recover access several times, and only received 1 email, which took 3 days to arrive. By this time the token had expired.

This may have occurred because you submitted multiple recovery requests. The latter requests may have invalidated the tokens in the previous requests.

Just responded to your other thread, Volcore. Let's continue this discussion back on over there. :)
