Do submissions only get judged in the week that they are submitted? Or are a group of winners chosen every week from the entire pool of all submissions?

In other words, if you don't hear that you're a winner in the week after you submitted are you out of luck, or is there a chance that you'll be a winner a week or two down the road?

The essays are reviewed throughout the week, but eligible entries may be considered in subsequent weeks. If you submitted your essay in the first week and did not hear back, there's still a chance that you'll be selected later in the contest!
