Blizzard thinks I'm hacked but I'm NOT!

Recently, I paid for 3 of my characters to be transferred from Twisting Nether server to Silver Hand, and faction changed two of those characters from Horde to Alliance on my other account. I also paid for my boyfriend to faction change and transfer one of his characters from Twisting Nether to Silver Hand.

I played today, with no issues.

Suddenly, this evening, Blizzard suspended my account and is reversing my changes, saying they think I was compromised. But I wasn't! I've filled out web forms, but of course nothing is going on there, and Billing services doesn't open for another 10 hours or so.

What else can I do?

I wasn't hacked or compromised! I just want to be able to play my game!

The characters in question (currently on Silver Hand) Are Phanuell, Ellizza and Leaufont and my boyfriend's character was Sidric, also on Silver Hand.

Any insight from a blue would be deeply appreciated.

I am very sorry for any inconvenience on this Carily.

Question, is the registered address on your account up to date?

I think that was probably the start of this issue for you - that and the number. Where this came from didn't seem to match the account, it looked suspicious.

Since there were so many suspicious transfers all together, it was locked for your protection.

This is actually pretty standard for a compromised account, they'll often try to transfer characters hither and yon using stolen credit cards.

First, if your contact information on the account is out of date - I'd update that first.

Second, you may wish to contact Billing on this so they can assist you on the phone, that should prevent this happening again.

Yes the email address is up to date and all that.

Not email address, physical address.

This looks like it came through a few states away from where this is registered.

I have both my old original address and current address on my battle.net information. Though I did switch it so that my current address is the 'main shipping address'. As I said, however, I did pay for my boyfriend's transfer as well, and he does not live in the same state as myself.

Well, something flagged this, that was the only obvious thing I saw that looked like the most likely suspect.

I'd still recommend giving Billing a ring on this so they can assist you with these.

>_< Obnoxious (not you, the situation). I can't think of anything that would flag it. Didn't raid any guild banks, spam anything in trade, nothing. I can still use the same CC used for the transfers for anything else and have plenty of money in it (so that's not the issue).

As I said, the GM in game said they were having technical issues with billing going through correctly... any validity to that?

It's possible, but nothing I've heard of - not that I necessary WOULD hear of that quickly.

Looking at your registered address in Battle.net - the state does NOT match the location these requests came from, I'd say that was more likely what triggered this.

I just changed the address now, hopefully that helps.

If you want to give this a try, I'd recommend just doing one character at a time if possible.

Well, unfortunately, I still can't do anything. I changed the address to my current address (and was disconnected from WoW in the process), and these characters are still Alliance on Silver hand (as I intended them to be), but I can't access them. Says I can't acess the character until the process I initiated is complete.

Ahhh, that would mean they are locked.

Yes, I'd still call Billing on this, would be the best solution all-round I think. They can assist you in getting these where you wish them to be.

That's very annoying >_< Especially because I know how long it takes to get through to billing. I can call the second they're open and still be on hold (or be forced to hang up and redial) for hours and hours.

Remind me again why they can't let you guys (the guys who are around 24/7) do more than you're able to do? :(

Billing handles sensitive information. They also have the advantage of being able to discuss matters of more sensitive security issues on the phone - something you don't want to do on a public forum, or even necessarily in email (if there is a chance it's compromised).
