Here's the situation. A few days ago I was on this character and decided I was going to do a random dungeon using WoW's Random Dungeon Finder. The reward for this is one Satchel of Helpful Goods, 70 silver, and 470 experience. Click, wait a bit, and I'm in.

The pug is a decent one, with no one actively trying to wipe the group or anything like that. We finish the last boss, and everyone rolls for the item dropped. Everyone parts thanking each other for a good group.

I then go to look in my bag to try to find the Satchel. Well, it's not there.

No biggee, right? I'll just contact WoW, fill out a ticket, and let them know that the Satchel failed to appear in my bag and which dungeon I just finished for which I should have received that reward. It should be a matter of a small search through their code and everything will be made right with the world.

Well, did you know they have a policy concerning you loosing material because their computer glitched?

I didn't until I got their response.

Because their computer failed to fulfill it's programming instructions, something I have absolutely no control over, I'm supposed to go read their policy and become familiar with the concept that I'm only allowed a certain number of returns.

WTF?

I could understand this if I had a habit of going to sites that compromised my computer, and through that I lost material that they were going to have to spend time and effort to replace. This, however, is loss of material because their computer failed to fulfill it's programming.

Geeze and pete's guys.

You don't want to do your job, just say so. We have double-digit unemployment. I'm sure someone would love to do this if you don't.

Are you referring to THIS - from where we granted you the Satchel?

Q u o t e:
After personally looking into the issue, and sorting through some big bags here in the back room, it looks like I was able to find your Satchel of Helpful Goods! However, please keep in mind that each player is granted a limited number of restorations for items and characters.

I'm sorry if you feel that is 'chiding', Zaerdah, it was meant as a friendly reminder that restorations may be limited - that goes out on pretty much every one as a disclaimer.
