You can proc Shadow Orbs before they actually do anything.
Background:
Shadow Orbs are the Shadow Priest Mastery and are a stacking buff which you can proc which are used to increase the damage of your next Mind Blast or Mind Spike spell.
The Bug:
With the new tiered Mastery system you don't start gaining any points in the 3rd talent bonus (the Mastery) until you've invested 35 points into the tree.
However you can still proc Shadow Orbs so long as you have more points in Shadow than in other trees.
These orbs however do not boost the damage of your Mind Blast or Mind Spike at all until you have at least 35 points in the tree making them rather confusing and defeating one of the announced reasons for Shadow Orbs.
How to Reproduce:
Step 1) Spec 34 points into Shadow.
Step 2) Proc some orbs with Mind Flay or SW: P.
Step 3) Confirm that they don't boost the damage of your Mind Blast or Mind Spike.
