Wind rider cub redemption

I received my plush wind rider cub in the mail and entered the redemption code on www.battle.net/redeem site and it said to check my in game mail for the companion pet. I have logged in and out of the game several times, but the pet does not show up in my in game mail. I see this has been a problem in the past, is it still a problem? Many have said that it shows up very soon after they log into the game after redeeming. I made an in game ticket but I don't know what else to do. Any suggestions?
