I'll make this short. My jan 2005 account apparently was hacked a few months ago while I wasnt even paying for a subscription. We started getting billed again even though I wasnt playing at the time. Got the usually emails from blizzard saying my account had been compromised. I followed through with the emails but was never again contacted by blizzard. I try getting through their phone lines but every time I call the "hold queue is temporarily full". because of this my account has been closed. I would like to play in the next expansion but I dont want to have to buy the game and 2 expansions all over again. What can I do? I can not contact blizzard despite my endless attempts to do so. Ive been paying for this game for 5 years yet I can not even get my account recovered after it has been hacked.

My friend is in the same boat with me. Both of us have 5 y/o accounts that were hacked and closed by blizzard and neither of us have been able to recover them.

No idea if this will help anyone help me but heres a list of some characters.

Citychicken - Crushridge

I could care less if this is in the wrong forum.

Can you provide me with the name and realm of a character on the account so that I may look a bit further into this for you, Fatherolaf?

Sadly, I'm not seeing a character by that name and realm combination, Fatherolaf. Can you provide me the name and realm of another character?

It looks as if a password reset was sent to your registered e-mail address back in February, Fatherolaf. Can you check to see if you still have this e-mail?

At any point in February did you receive an e-mail containing a new password for you to use?

No but I got a notice that a password recovery had been submitted and that my password had been changed.

No email with a new PW though

Roger that. It seems that this is what is preventing you from logging in at the moment. We reset your password which requires you to log into the game client before entering Account Management. I know you've had a frustrating time trying to contact our Billing department; however, I'm afraid their assistance will be necessary in this case. Please continue trying to call them so that they can help restore access to your account.

Thank you very much for remaining patient despite any frustrations you've experienced, Fatherolaf. We truly hope to get you back into the game as soon as we can.
