You should review the sticky threads at the top of this forum. In particular the thread titled "Account Hacked? Security Issue? Look Here!" at http://forums.worldofwarcraft.com/thread.html?topicId=24702231244&sid=1

Blizzard can help you undo everything a hacker has done to the account, but you need to start by securing the account or it will just happen again.

love,
shmoo

Quite so. Your best first step would be to check out that thread, as it contains step by step guidance which should help ease your mind and give you a course of action.

We certainly are not pretending that you don't exist, Tierani. If you can, try to take a deep breath, and we'll get you on the road to recovery. If you have any further questions, please let me know and I'll do my best to clarify further.

These attacks are called man in the middle attacks and involve cryptography . So ssl or when you sign into your account they intercept the transmission decode it and thus hack into your account. My account was hacked with 2 authenticators and i am still trying to get my system up and running but blizzard gms are trying these hackers hacked everybody it seems . They also may have hacked the database blizzzard keeps account information and went in . Either through the servers or however but once in the database they went through the list of users active or non-active and did this. Anyways my point is try to keep your cool so many people need help and you will get it just takes time. If your patient it does pay off your hurting your health by getting upset.

Sorry, Winter, this was not from our servers. Please don't go spreading totally false information.

And you can't have 2 authenticators on an account either.

Man in the middle attacks usually involve fake screens so a player thinks they are logging into the game but are actually shipping that information off to the comproimiser. It's still malware, and a nasty piece of work it is.

ok but my question is how do u cancel your account if you cant get in it ?

I'm sorry to hear that you would rather cancel your account rather than navigate the recovery steps =(. You can do so via direct contact with out Account Management staff. If a phone call isn't an acceptable means of contact, you should be able to do so via email. Here's that contact information for your convenience:

    Billing & Account Services

    Phone Support - 1 (800) 59-BLIZZ (1 (800) 592 5499)
Live Representatives Available 7am to 8pm PST
    E-mail Support - [email protected]

If you are located in Australia you should use 1-800-041-378 if you cannot get through with the number above.
If you are located in Singapore you should use 800-2549-9273 if you cannot get through with the number above.
Latin American and International callers without access to our 800 numbers may use: (949) 955-0283

I'd like to point out one more thing. There have been cases where a player has opted to cancel their account rather than 'mess around' with account recovery. Unfortunately, restoration is not guaranteed and our logs are finite, and in some cases these players return months later to recover their accounts, and find that we are no longer in a position to provide as complete a restoration as we'd like. Even if you are frustrated with the process, it really might be a good idea to go through the recovery steps before you make an assessment regarding whether you wish to stay with us, to prevent a deeper disappointment in the future.
