Q u o t e:
I did miss the recent wave of bans. Which really begs the question how this would happen, considering how frequently I visit multiple WoW forums and how often this subject comes up. One I pay particular interest to due to the number of games I've seen ruined in this fashion.
Maybe I'm just unobservant.
Well, we haven't recently announced them, for one thing. That might be why you missed it. That doesn't mean that we haven't been taking action.

you do not have to say anything, in fact and i could be wrong, but i think most people would prefer if you didnt,. Since you rarely have any useful input anyway.
A) He doesn't, but he did earn his MVP status for a reason. B) I've found that it's unwise to speak for 'most people' in nearly every circumstance, unless you have some kind of data which gives you real insight into what 'most people' think. Otherwise, the term 'most people' becomes a generalization (used to bolster one's own opinion most often), and worse, a useless and invalid generalization. C) My experience has suggested exactly the opposite actually.
The prevailing assumption in this thread is that we're doing nothing to control bots or botting. I would like to take the opportunity to correct that misconception right now: These issues are absolutely not ignored. The unfortunate truth is that they are also not as simple to resolve as we would all like. It takes time to investigate and properly deal with this kind of exploitation, and we welcome the reports of our players.
Now, I think it should be possible to continue this thread in a constructive manner. Better yet, if you happen to have a constructive suggestion regarding how we might better eliminate the influence of this exploitation from World of Warcraft, please let us know via the Suggestions forum.
