Dealing with bad customer service!!!!

i got hacked


so i tried to phone customer service for two days lolololol june 18,19, and today
nope, i could not even get in to the que

the email i sent has not been replied to yet.

so day one i was thinking this service sucks

on day two of no reply i get mad, so i went to cancel my subscription online, lol it would not let me?
so i email the billing dept, to cancel,,,i still have not had a reply from them.
later in the day i was finally able to get the online cancel subscription to work.

today i deleted all my toons, this will prevent me from coming back.

yep 6 well geared toons,,,i bet the hackers loved that

also now the hackers have stolen from blizz. and not me, cuz i wont be buying the next expansion, and no more 15 buck a month

and that is how i deal with bad service

The internet is full of people claiming things that aren't true, Caindex. The fact of the matter is, if there was a breach in our system the number of petitions and compromises we see would shift more than they have. You would also have a much more official announcement, instead of rumours from those out there that are so certain that nothing they have done or neglected to do could have caused the compromise so instead will blame anyone else. These are what we call potential repeat compromises. It isn't even about blame, it is about taking responsibility and making sure that if there was a compromise that you do your utmost to find the cause and security the system. We will happily provide what restoration we can.

Now I'm not entirely certain what your issue is, Caindex, it looks like you had been compromised at the end of May and you received a fairly extensive restoration.

Were you compromised again? I can find no petitions from you recently and the only e-mails I show are saying to cancel your account. That is something we may be able to help you wish though you should be able to do it yourself by visiting the Account Management page.

That is a very old rumour indeed, Kirstance. :)

There is no a specific limit to how often we may assist in the recovery of characters/items. We understand that mistakes and hasty decisions are made all the time. Where we tend to draw the line is when someone repeatedly takes advantage of our policy and does not show that they are attempting to use caution.

People do a lot of strange things, they delete all their characters for no apparent reason and then start a new one. They disenchant all their items and mail the gold to their newly created "main". What you call "a little game code to prevent that" is not a little code, it is a huge undertaking to essentially create not only an understanding into what is "normal" but to apply that understanding to each and every player. That doesn't actually work though because what is normal for me is truly not normal for you.

We have a great many protections in place that look for certain trends but any one or two actions by themselves does not necessarily indicate anything is wrong or suspicious.

Yes, something is wrong, Caindex, good people are becoming compromised because the world we live in has people in it who would think nothing of taking advantage of others. Another tragedy would be when the people who have been helped think nothing of the effort gone to on behalf of them, that may just be me though.
