Not sure where to start but week and a half ago i was hacked and wasn t really sure how it happened, since that time i recovered account and had comp reformatted and had my anti virus,malware/spyware all updated. I also ordered an authenticator which just recently i attached to my account. Today when i checked emaili got a passwrod reset notice from blizzard, which i didn t request since i was at work at that time. Not sure yet if i was rehacked or if this was an attempt. Im hoping my authenticator prevented it if so. I do not want to loginto my account til i finish running my scans is there any other reason a passwrod change request would have been sent?

This was a malicious attempt, Hetza.

Your authenticator did indeed save you from another breakin.

Either you have as yet unidentified malware on your system, or it's possible they are into your email itself.

Did you put anything back onto the system from backups? If so, you could have reintroduced an infection.

I see another access point here, have you used more than one system? If so, any used could be the culprit and all need checked.

They can ask for a reset, but even if they were into your email and got your new password - an authenticator would prevent them from being able to use it.

And yes, a new email address would be a good idea. Battle.net has the advantage of that also changing your account name.
