Cant merge old wow name with battle.net?

Hello, my brother is trying to reactivate his account, but he needs to merge his old wow login name with his battle.net email addy he has

WHen he uses the correct page to do so, it wont recognize his old wow account name. We have tried everything and even tried calling bliz on the phone but the lines are busy all day.

I have had my account inactive longer than him, yet it knew my wow account name and i could merge it right away, for some reason its acting like it cant find his old login name.

Is there any way to get help on this? its been 3 days now and no response from bliz or anything

Would you be able to provide me the name and realm of a character on your brother’s account, Bloodscald? I should be able to use that information to locate the account in question. If that is possible then I can send the registered e-mail address a correspondence with clarification of any potential issues as well as the account name, to ensure that he is using the correct one. :0)

Neither, unfortunately, Bloodscald. The address currently tied to the account is one provided by an internet service provider. Hope that helps him locate it.
