Recruit a Friend Question

Hello,

A friend and myself are leveling characters together. I used the Recruit a Friend program and he purchased an account. I have called Billing and Account Services and they confirm the accounts are in fact linked and should be receiving full benefits.

We are both currently level 19. A fried is running us in an instance to finish a quest. We are grouped, the same level, and literally right next to each other. The mobs in question are 23 Elites. Some of these that we kill the combat log records the XP as 151 Experience Gained (+94 Recruit a Friend, +8 group). Some mobs it will only list the 151. Some quests that we turn in seem to do the same.

Why would it not be 300%? The mobs are not skulls, the characters are the same level, and I am confused. Any help?

Q u o t e:
Kobold Vermin dies, you gain 84 experience. (+56 exp Refer-A-Friend bonus)

The fact that you're seeing that message means you are indeed receiving triple experience! The “X” value represents the total amount of experience gained, while the “Y” value represents how much extra experience is gained as a result of the Recruit-A-Friend promotion.

So, normally, a Kobold Vermin is worth 56 experience; however, since you're partied with one other character, that experience is halved, leaving 28 experience points for you, and 28 experience points for your friend. Now, multiply that 28 experience by 3 to account for the triple experience boost and you get 84. The number included in the parentheses (+56 exp Refer-A-Friend bonus) is simply the difference between the boosted experience value and original experience value (84 - 28 = 56).

Hope that helps!
