Separate WoW Accounts

Right now I have 5 WoW accounts associated with one Battle.Net account. With the advent of RealID and such I want to move one WoW account to a new Battle.NET account. That way I can give that "RealID" to friends, but not have them know the majority of my toons.

I absolutely hate the "friend of a friend" feature and the "friend all your alts" feature. I want one account I can give to others, but keep 4 accounts private. I wouldn't want my own mother to have that ability to invade my privacy, let alone people I meet on a video game.

How can I split them now that they are on the same Battle.NET? Is it something I can do myself or do I need assistance from Billing? Will there be a way to "opt-out" with some accounts, but be included with others, or does it have to be all or nothing? I have > 120 toons.

Well, to change to another Battle.net - that would require intervention from Billing. As to the specifics of Real-ID, I really don't have the answers to those particular questions yet. You are also more than welcome to post those as suggestions in the Suggestion Forum.

I'd recommend giving them a call on this.
