Cannot Log in to battle.net or WoW AGAIN

OK, so yesterday I could not log in to b.net. Apparently I had used the same authenticator number and my account locked up or something like that.

This is the second time I attempted to log in today, with the first attempt being successful. The second attempt left me with the message that I was getting yesterday. Saying:

"The information you have entered is not valid. Please check the spelling of the account name and password. If you need help in retrieving a lost or stolen password and account, see [www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport] for more information."

All that had to be done yesterday was reset my account, but why is this happening still? I have an authenticator and definitely have not used the same number twice. Also I have not tried to log in more than 3 times today so I know its not a flood of multiple log in attempts that is locking me up.

I don't know what the deal is but am again frustrated today with not being able to access my account. I have ran scans on my system and still have found nothing malicious, even after my account got hacked there was nothing on my system that 4 programs could find that would be a keylogger, virus etc.

I received fast and efficient customer service yesterday and am hoping the same tonight. I am not sure if someone else is still trying to access my account as I have changed my password many times. So maybe that is causing the lock up? And as I stated earlier, have found nothing in the way of malicious software, adware, spyware etc.

Thanks again in advance,
-Nemecys

Try now, Nemecys.

As to why this is happening, do you have the mobile version? Sometimes those can become desync'd.

The mobile version has an option to resync built-in, I'd give that a try if it's applicable.

Q u o t e:
I have a physical authenticator, not a mobile version. Also I notice it takes a few mins for a new number to come up when i push the button again. Not sure if it works this way on purpose or not, but it seemed to bring up a new number every time i pushed it when i first received it a week ago.

I really don't want to have to log into the forums and post for help every day, lol. If anyone has additional info that would help my situation, that would be great.

BTW I still cannot log in, yesterday the person that helped me reset my account, whatever that means but I have been waiting to play for a few hours now. I am getting frustrated with paying for a service when I cannot use it. Can you please reset my account? And possibly look into why this keeps happening?

Please help soon, I have ppl waiting on me for our core raid, as I am the raid leader.

Thank you in advance,
-Nemecys

I did have this reset for you - and yet, once again. Try now. Numbers change every few seconds - or should.

While the physical keyfobs don't often have issues and they are rated between 5 - 7 years of life, they are mechanical and can sometimes misbehave.

Not sure how old yours is, but you may wish to contact our Billing department to see if a replacement could be arranged.

Have you tried logging all the way out - and relaunching WoW?

I know this may seem like a silly question, but I do see you are on the test realm as well.

You are certain you are firing up the correct launcher?

Are you absolutely certain your system hasn't picked up some nasty bug?

This makes little sense if it's been reset - should work at least once.

If the launcher is OUR launcher, I'm not seeing a reason it's not going through, this may take a bit more research for our admins. Now, if you've picked up a copy-cat launcher, that isn't really going to US, that's how a man-in-the-middle attack works. You get an error and think something is just wrong while the info is shipped to them. I see no weird access at this point, but it's one possibility.

Nem, if you are still monitoring this thread, try logging in again.

If that still doesn't work, you could try changing the email associated with the account, but if you cannot log into Battle.net either - that may take assistance from Billing.

Any email should work fine.

I know Billing can be challenging to get to sometimes, but I'd still suggest it.

The best way is to keep redialing immediately. Spots are opening in the queue all the time, only trick is to snag one. Calling periodically during the day really isn't the best way to do that. What I'd like you to do while you are on the phone with them is have them test your ability to login if this is removed. That would narrow it down to an actual authenticator problem and it may need to be replaced. While you are on the phone is by far the safest way to do that.

I suspect this does need replaced.

Again, contacting Billing since this is so new may be the best way to get it replaced.
