Reporting these types of whispers is VERY easy, Ontuk.

That would be a form of 'illicit advertising' - gold whispers, folks with Blizz in their name trying to get you to log into some website - folks saying Hey - we sell BOE's - go to this website, etc. are all examples.

Just right-click their name in the chatbox, a small menu will popup. On that menu is an option, Report Spam.

Just click that, confirm, and you're done.

Remember if a Blizzard employee every sends you a tell ingame - or an email, the blue Blizzard logo will be by our name or on that email.

Use report spam instead of a petition.

Also, it's doubtful it's actually the same account - or even person for that matter.

They usually use stolen accounts for this purpose. Log in, create character, spam a few, delete character, reroll another.

While that does absolutely nothing to stop us from finding them *evil grin*, that does create a pattern where you may see the same 'name' keep popping up.

Oh, we do, Ontuk - but they are using STOLEN accounts. If you look around this forum, you'll see lots of folks very confused why their accounts were banned - this is a typical cause.

Don't ever EVER deal with anyone trying to sell you gold, or items for real world money - or 'powerleveling' services - these are the same guys that do this - that's where they get their 'merchandise'.
