If I correctly understand the changes being brought to us by blizzard, the forsaken are fighting a war in Gilnaes, Darrowmere Forest (original name of the western plaugelands), and hillsbrad. As far as I know, Sylvanis just doesn't have the manpower to fight this war. Only a few undead (perhaps 20,000-40,000) became forsaken. The number of Gilneans is unknown, though I presume it would be about 10,000 that fight for their king. The Alliance of Hillsbrad and Arathi, not to mention those in Andorhal, are fairly numerous. And if Stormwind and Ironforge send reinforcements (these cities have a total population of about 220,000 people, not including the lands that they rule over), that will mean that the Forsken will be overrun, no matter if the Horde try to reinforce her, for the barrens are also under attack. The Horde is vastly outnumbered by the Alliance, for the Horde is made up of rogue groups that banded together to survive. At best, Sylvanis is in a tough war that may be easily won or lost. At worst, she is being overrun. Unless the orcs have managed to triple their numbers sice WC3, and the forsaken have freed a massive number of undead, the Horde is in quite a pickle. This was based off of lore and zone information from wowwiki, so don't be crying "BUT DA HORDE HAS JUST AS MANY PLAYERS AS DAH ALLIWINCE!!!!!11," or I will have to choose between whether you are an ogre or a troll, and that is quite a tough decision to make.
