Got an email today with a few links in it claiming to be from blizzard about Real ID.

Starts off like this:
Q u o t e:

Soon, World of Warcraft® players will have access to a brand-new feature called Real ID, a completely voluntary and optional level of identity that will keep players connected across all of Battle.net®.

When you and a friend mutually agree to become Real ID friends, you'll have access to a number of additional features that will enrich your social gaming experience in new and exciting ways:

and goes on to list new features but contains a few links.

is this safe or a phish attempt?

You could try changing posting toons, that sometimes makes the forum update.

As to the email, if the internal routing header confirms it's from our newsletter address, likely legit. Lots of these just went out.

I'd check any email the same way - check that the links are legitimate and the internal routing headers on the email.
