Questions about hacked account

So, my account got hacked a little over a week ago, and my account expired Friday. I didn't resubscribe yet cause i really want to play my mains and not just some new character so that is why I'm posting from a trial account. I know my account is currently under investigation for recovery, but i want to know if it will still get recovered if i don't have an active subscription? Also they delete all my toons on two servers....my main being lalrorden from sargeras, and i was just curious if someone takes one of my names will i get it back? I know Blizz is working hard to help people out with recovery's, but just hoping that the wait isn't going to waste if they can't do it if i don't have an active subscription. Its been about 8 days since i was told that my account is under investigation. Thanks

It won't stop the investigation, no.

You will need to get in after it's done to claim anything restored from your email before it expires, but there will be plenty of time for that.

As to name, depends. Normally we try to get a name back under these circumstances, but that can't be guaranteed. That is usually what happens though.
