I am mostly looking for a blue post, but i welcome information from other players also, especially players who have experienced this.

My account was hacked and i had lost 4 lvl 60+ characters and all my 80's have all their gear missing. Now at the moment my foot is broken, so i am unable to work and it is a chore to go anywhere or do anything, so this compromise couldnt be at a worse time.

What i would like to know is, if i am playing my account does it make it harder for WoW dev's to restore my gear / characters?

&

Does it re-roll my account? (So if i keep playing and earning items etc. do they get deleted when i get my gear / characters back)

Also would like to know how long i have been waiting for restoration

Thank you in advance

You're welcome to play on any character that wasn't maliciously transferred, renamed, re-customized, or had its race or faction changed, Ohnonotgrob. This will not interrupt the restoration groooooove. ;)

The reason that I ask that you please refrain from playing on characters that were affected by a unauthorized transaction is because those transactions are typically corrected by being completely reversed. This involves rolling back the character to an earlier point in time, so any progress you'd gain now on that character now may be "undone" later on. This isn't how normal restorations are processed, though, so that's why it's okay to play on unaffected characters.

I also would highly recommend against transferring or faction changing any of your characters yourself until your restoration is complete. This will help prevent against possible complications with the restoration itself.

I hope this helps, Ohnonotgrob! Please let me know if you've any further questions, though.

About 5 days (just a few hours over).
