Account Recovery [Blue response por favor]

This marks day 9 in a character restoration request I placed, Wednesday, I believe. My account was compromised (I've been solid since launch, but I made a minor mistake in letting a friend log in once on his machine). The next morning my account was ransacked, and noticed his toon logging in at a time I knew my friend wouldn't be there, so I logged into his toon, then do a password reset on his account for him (I knew his login info).

I saved his account, unfortunately my stuff is now all gone.

Only the characters on Ursin were affected (This is the active server I play on at this time). So I went through the standard procedure of putting in a ticket, explaining the situation. I waited around 3 days for a reply, which sadly the GM attempted to contact me while I was on my alt. (You guys really need to get a system in place where you can discuss any open ticket on any toon on the same account so these things can be avoided).

Anyways, I got an in-game E-mail from the GM. Standard fair, but the part that caught my eye was the "DO NOT CLOSE THIS TICKET, OR IT COULD RESET YOUR POSITION IN THE QUEUE" part. So I quickly checked to see if my ticket was open - I've had restorations done before, never recovery of complete sets of gear, but little things, and they usually would leave it open or it would be escalated. In this case, the ticket was closed - not by me though.

I was quoted this would take up to 9 days, I'm now on day 9. And I'm legitimately concerned as to whether or not my ticket was accidentally lost in transfer. And I'm terrified to put in another in-game ticket because I have a feeling that THAT would really screw up this whole thing.

Also, another point of interest was that two days after the GM contacted me via in-game mail, I received one of those Blizzard surveys, the ones that want to know how awesome the GM was in helping you. I haven't filled it out, and I'm kind of at a point where I'm not sure I'd have anything good to report. Especially if this restoration falls through.

Anyways, the whole thing is just frustrating, I have no idea if I was or currently am in queue for a restoration, no idea if they were able to recover anything, haven't received any items in the mail (I really only needed items recovered on two characters, and I specified the time of the unauthorized access within a timespan of 3-4 hours, haven't been able to talk to any GMs regarding this, and I'm afraid that putting in another ticket for some kind of information is going to delay this whole process another week.

If any of the mods on the forum could check into this and let me know anything relevant to my case, it'd be most appreciated.

Bumping, hoping for a reply.

Not to worry! In this case, the time frame you were quoted was likely accurate at the time, but such time frames are always very rough. Currently it's taking about a week and a half for these investigations to be completed, and you still have a bit of a wait ahead of you, but you haven't been forgotten.

Thanks for hanging in there, and please feel free to review our sticky here for further tips on account security:
