Account hacked after using Wow mobile armory

A few weeks back, I installed WOW mobile Armory on my Ipad and used it to keep check on my characters.

I had stopped playing wow one year ago, resumed for one month in february, and was planning to resume using my dear characters in July.

Logging in today, I realise my account has been hacked. it happened shortly after I used WOW mobile armory to log in and set up my characters there.

I do not believe the timeline is a coincidence. The hackers got access to my information shortly after I logged in from WOW mobile armory. I want my characters back, and I found it appaling that Blizzard would release an application that allows easy access to hackers on their customers accounts!

I have had my account be safe for years, I never gave out my password to anyone, and never have had a hacked account so far. I thought I could trust Blizzard with their mobile endeavour. I was wrong...

I'm sorry to hear that your account was compromised, but as of the moment, we have no reason to believe that the Mobile Armory applications are not completely secure. In fact, there's no reason to believe that the Mobile Armory is the weak link in this scenario aside from a coincidence.

As has been said many times, correlation does not imply causation. Fortunately, our staff are more than happy to do all they can to help you restore your account as completely as possible so you can get back on your feet and playing.
