So a few weeks ago my account was compromised and had an authenticator attatched. No big deal, I got the account locked and the authenticator removed, and cleaned the keylogger. As the hacker had transferred 4 charecters to 4 different realms I used the unautherized transfer form to lodge the reversal request. In no way did I mention anything about getting gold or gear back, this was purely reversing the transfers so I could then submit a ticket in game.

Approx. 10 days later I recieve a number of emails, each one detailing which of my charecters was having currency and items restored, and what was being restored. This is when I havn't been able to log onto any of those 4 toons due to them being locked by the restore process, so I had no idea what was missing and whether this was accurate. Even more bizare, the GM restored gear on lvl 1 toons the hacker had created, of which I had made no mention in the ticket.

Q u o t e:

Thank you for taking the time to contact us.

Please keep in mind that each account is permitted a limited number of instances in which the GM staff may assist with the recovery of virtual property or progress that has been lost. Although we understand that the occasional mistake can be made, we encourage players to exercise caution and minimize such situations to avoid future need of restorations and GM assistance. Restoration of any kind is not guaranteed. While we will make every effort to verify and restore your loss, the decision to go forward with a restoration is entirely at Blizzard's discretion.

For further information please check our Restoration Policy located at (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20457)

Thank you again for contacting us. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!

Sincerely,

Game Master -----------

Fast forward to now, 4 days after I recieved this ticket. My charecters are still on the wrong realms. They are still locked to play. Is my ticket being handled by someone else now, or did the GM just read my request completely wrong and it's case closed?

I'm not sure why it has played out this way for you, Fazz. It definitely sounds like the recovery isn't complete. While I can't promise something immediate, please watch your email for additional information as our specialists finish reviewing your case. I am optimistic that we can get this recovery completed for you appropriately.
