Thank you to the team that resolved my issue with my hacked account . I appreciate it alot . I recommend disabling the ability to use addons in the blizzard client this opens the door to malware and third party people who have little regard for security or people. It would at least stop some of the malware from infecting the pcs stealing account info or instalingl malware via addons .

Thank you so much for taking the time to drop us a note! I'm really glad that our staff were able to help you get back on your feet and playing.

While I can understand your concerns regarding malware delivery methods, the majority of Addons are perfectly safe, and in fact, an Addon isn't capable of compromising a World of Warcraft account. On the other hand, anything with a .exe suffix could be a threat and should be avoided and 'auto updaters' can pose risks as well.

We recognize the value and beneficial impact that Addons themselves can add to World of Warcraft, so it's not as likely that we'd prohibit their use. If you'd like to suggest a course of action regarding how we can help better protect and educate our players regarding system security, please feel free to contribute a constructive post on our Suggestions forum. While we're unable to provide responses there, our Development staff do read it regularly and that's a great way to get your perspectives where they can do the most good =).
