Cannot Log in to battle.net or WoW

Earlier today, I used my Wow account and had no problems logging in (with authenticator and everything mind you). I spent my entire long and frustrating day at work, got home and wanted to relax and play a bit of wow. I proceed to go through the login process, enter my pw and authenticator number, and get this message:

"The information you entered is not valid. Please check the spelling of the account name and password. If you need help in retrieving a lost or stolen password and account, see [www.worldofwarcraft.com/loginsupport] for more information."

I tried more than 10 times, re-typing my password, account name and authenticator code. After many futile attempts, I decided that maybe my account was (again) compromised, so I proceeded to change my password, which I did with no problems at all.

Again, I went to log into the game and I get the same friggin message!

Frustrated, confused and utterly pissed off, I went to log into my battle.net account on the web to see if my account was frozen, locked or messed up in any way that would prevent me from logging in. After getting to the page, entering all my info including my authenticator, I get a message saying "Login Failed" right next to where my email is to be entered.

Now this leads me to believe that my email was changed... however, when I went to change my pw, there were no problems sending it to my normal email that I use for my battle.net acct.

So here I now am, on the forums, SIGNED IN with my battle.net info, under my characters name. HOW DOES THIS WORK? and yet I can't log into the game?? AAAAAARRRRRRRRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!

I have already lost 6 days of playing time due to my account getting hacked 2 weeks ago, been back playing for less than a week, and now this? I have the next 2 days off and have my usual raids planned for the next few evenings, I need my account fixed please. I haven't done anything wrong, have never spammed, bought gold or harassed anyone on the servers. I have been playing casually for 3+ years and have NEVER had so many problems with this game. So what has happened that would make me unable to use my PAID FOR account? I am getting screwed out of game time that I have bought and paid for, and there is nothing on the forums (that I can find) that describes what is going on with my situation.

Please help, I am tired, frustrated and confused. I just want to play the game I have paid for, and should rightfully have access to it.
Thank you in advance

I suspect what happened here was just too many tries and you locked yourself out, Nemecys.

I've asked this be reset for you - see if your latest password will work.

One thing about the authenticator, say you mistyped your password or ID on attempt number one.

Do NOT use that same authenticator number on attempt number two. Wait just a few seconds till the number changes and use the next. That can sometimes be at the root of this particular issue.

Oh, not necessarily 'wrong', just the way an authenticator works.

Once a number is registered as 'used', it's taken out of play so to speak.

And yes, too many attempts will lock things up.

A number is only valid for a very short period of time OR until it's used, then you need the next one that would come up. Those are available every few seconds so the wait is typically very short.

Does that make sense?
