Hoping to get at least a green response on this one.

I have recently saved up a bunch of gold and want to run a casino. But I have seen people in the forums say its against the rules to advertise it but not to run it.

My question is:

Is it against the rules to advertise and run a casino? Rules are as follows:

-Max bet 1k (to start out)
-Roll 1-75 you lose
-Roll 76-85 you double your bet
-Roll 86-95 you triple your bet
-Roll 96-100 x4

While in-game gambling is permitted, Poundingpaw, advertisement of the associated casino, raffle, or lottery (et al) is not. You can learn more about this policy here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/27048

Please note that while in-game gambling is not specifically supported, if it is evident you are purposefully attempting to scam your fellow players, the Game Master department is likely to intervene.

umm so since you can not advertise in a in-game chat channel. you could advertise on your realm forum yes?

No.

From http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/27048:

Are in-game casinos against the rules?

While players may opt to privately run or participate in an in-game casino, advertising for this particular practice is not permitted in-game or on our forums in any form. Casino advertisements can degrade the quality of the environment we want to provide for our players and thus are not appropriate for the World of Warcraft.

Please feel free to report any casino or gambling-based advertisements you see within public chat channels to the Game Master department. You may do so by submitting an in-game petition or by right-clicking on the name of the advertiser and selecting the "Report Spam" option. When submitting an in-game petition, please be sure to include the advertising character's name and realm, as well as a brief description of the chat you witnessed.

Should you find a casino advertisement on our forums, you can bring it to our attention by clicking the red 'bio-hazard' symbol in the upper right corner of the post.

Emphasis mine. :)

That should cover your question, but if you've still got any concerns, let me know!
