Blackwing Lair Realm Disconnects (again)

The disconnect issue for BWL realm is back again. People are being DC'd on LFD, BG's, arenas, and instances. This has been an ongoing issue and pops up every Tuesday. Last week it was resolved through the following thread (along with numerous others in different forums).

Whatever solution you are doing to resolve the issue is apparently not permanent . This is making game play unmanageable.

Please respond and fix.

This situation is under investigation now, all, and our staff are working to identify and resolve the issue. Apologies for the delayed response, but I needed to do some research before I felt comfortable providing a reply.

Thank you for your patience as we investigate!

Update:

It appears that Blackwing Lair instances should be properly available at this time. Before you dive back into Arenas though, it might be a good idea to do some testing in normal instances first to be sure that the matter is resolved.

Feel free to let us know here if you are still experiencing any issues, and thanks again for your patience.

Thank you for the reports. I'll inform the appropriate parties, and they'll investigate further!

Q u o t e:
Looks like they are server resetting.

Correct. In order to pick up some of the adjustments that have been made to hopefully correct this issue the realm is being restarted. Hopefully that has the desired effect.

With all do respect. Is what you did going to fix the problem or just temp fix it until next server maintenance... when it all begins again.

I couldn't say, Pulkpull, I am not a Technician. I am simply relaying information that I was able to obtain in order to provide what updates I can.

The goal is to ensure that all realms are as stable and latency free as possible.

Q u o t e:
So.... do they even know it is a reoccurring problem?

O.o

They are the ones that work on the issue when it arises, Pulkpull, so unless they are all amnesiacs... yes, they know it is an issue that has occurred previously.

Q u o t e:
Yea, but. For three weeks now their answer has been server reset. Then it happens again next maintenance.

No, that has not been their answer, Pulkpull. Resolving technical issues with a realm isn't a simple matter of pressing a button that tells us exactly what is happening or what to do to fix it. Technical issues require troubleshooting. You start with the most obvious and work from there.

Some of the adjustment that are made when a realm or part of realm is experiencing an issue can be applied while the realm is live, sometimes it requires a realm restart to pick up the change.
Q u o t e:

Can I speak to your supervisor? Cause I am paying you to be my representative to relay maintenance issues to maintenance, yet the messages are clearly not getting to them.

No, I'm afraid not, Pulkpull. I am not liaison to our Developers or Realm Technicians, you are not paying me to act as one. My job is to moderate this forum and provide what assistance I can in relation to the In-Game Support department. We will provide what information we can when it is available.

You also seem to be making an assumption on what is or is not done based on a very limited view of the entire picture. Realm conditions are monitored by our Realm Technicians, they are aware when a realm goes offline and keep track of all the reports associated with their duties. Though we have been asked to gather information on a specific issue from time to time they do not generally need to be informed of a particular issue.

If you believe more information should be readily available to you, Pulkpull, or that you should be able to speak to someone regarding a realm you are welcome to post in the Suggestion forum.

Not at all, Righteouslee. I am simply correcting assumptions made. These are fairly common assumptions that are usually brought up by a number of people when a particular realm or set of realms is experiencing an reoccurring issue.

The important point is, our technicians are aware of such situations when they occur and they are doing their utmost to resolve both the current and persistent issues.

Q u o t e:
You seem to be making more inconsistances.

No, Laughingman, you seem to have misread or misunderstood what I said.
Q u o t e:

Realm conditions are monitored by our Realm Technicians, they are aware when a realm goes offline and keep track of all the reports associated with their duties.

Meaning that our Realm Technicians are aware of when the realm is experiencing an issue. Once the current issue is resolved that doesn't erase what occurred from the records so if the realm experiences X issue on Monday and then X issue on Tuesday and Wednesday, all that information is referenced.
Q u o t e:

Though we have been asked to gather information on a specific issue from time

For example, there is a minor issue with some Faction Changes and we have been gathering specific information on which characters and accounts are affected.
Q u o t e:

they
do not generally need to be informed of a particular issue.

Meaning, those of us who moderate this forum do not need to inform the Realm Technicians of an ongoing issue, they already know.

Q u o t e:
Again, you are paid to be a liason, not to be a smartass.

Again, you have misread or misunderstand. I am not a liaison to our Developers or Realm Technicians. If you have an issue with my posting style you are welcome to write to wowgmfeedback-us@blizzard.com.
Q u o t e:

If you have a problem with Pulkpull, do what you always do and ignore them (like you will with this post).

I don't have an issue with anyone, simply correcting misinformation. I find it odd that you accuse me of ignoring something when I have been an active participant in this thread providing what updates and information I can.
