Over the last month my experience with your company has been anything but pleasant. I have learned several things that had I known from the beginning...you would have never gotten a single penny of my hard worked for money.

First of all you do not have a customer retention department, putting major warning signs that you do not care if customers leave as your mind is on gaining new players. Well paying for celebrity endorsements...of course is cheaper than staffing a department to make sure that loyal customers stay that and increase your reputation and the level of word of mouth referrals you get...fyi the way that I was brought into the game.

Secondly, empathy in your gm's would be great I just got policies and procedures spewed at me. That's not what I am interested in, what my concerns are that I have stress in my life and logging into the game and killing things there...keeps me from doing it in real life. So when I was not allowed access to that for three weeks, causing me to break raids and run committments...the solution is not just throwing dollars at me...with that I can just go to the competition...showing I am valued is...stating and showing how sincere you are for the violation that occurred to me...your gm told me the security of my account is my responisibilty...that's like telling a *#%! victim it was their fault they got *#%!d and they should just man up and go on with the clothes replacement we give you...

Well it was fun while it lasted...but I am not so desperate to be part of your fantasy world that I would neglect my self-respect in the real world.

another expendable player,

Jean-Damien

PS: Can not even get into the billing que to cancel and get the credit thrown to me...the customer service is so stellar

No, I'm sorry, Obtenius, the two are nothing alike. Telling you that account security is your responsibility is the best way to convince the user that they need to take every precaution secure their account so this doesn't happen again.

Allowing you to falsely believe that the compromise was as a result of something on our end would be entirely misleading.

Our goal is not to point fingers, Obtenius, it is to make sure that you take the necessary steps to secure your account/computer.

I'm not certain how you can claim that all we care about is obtaining new players, especially given the lengths that we go to to assist players. We provide a number of services that we technically do not have to, something that is almost unique in the business. Yes, account security if your responsibility and technically every action that occurs on the account, authorized by you or not, is your responsibility. However, we understand that such things happen and we want to help as much as possible so we look into these cases and work to repair what damage we can.

I'm sorry that you have decided to leave us, Obtenius. I would hope that, what looks like a near full restoration would have convinced you that getting you back in the game and playing normally is one of our main goals but you will perceive things how you wish to.

Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do.

I'm not certain why you are bumping a thread that is several weeks old simply to judge my sincerity, Halfelf, and incorrectly at that.
Q u o t e:

This GM lacks any sincerity and seems very boiler-plate. Especially that "Good luck to you in whatever you decide to do" just reeks of insincerity.

I'm not certain how you can refer to what I said as trite or insincere, Halfelf. Many of the compromises filling the queue are repeat compromises. Why? Because people believe they have either found the source of the compromise or have not taken the issue seriously or even believing that the security breach was on Blizzard's end.

Please, feel free to rewrite what I wrote with the proper amount of sincerity and freshness that you believe I lacked.
Q u o t e:

He completely misses the point too; the user was primarily upset that it took three week, not that is was incomplete.

You mean I didn't comment on a point that you felt is important. What I also didn't comment on though was that the compromise investigation was reported to us on 5/23 and was resolved on 6/1. It had not been 3 weeks, it hadn't even been one at that point. A point that I did not feel necessary to bring up at the time.
Q u o t e:

I don't beleave he even checked that facts.

When commenting on a person's character, Halfelf, it is important to do a bit of research into how they seem to operate. You are welcome to an opinion that I may be lazy or dishonest but if you are going to scribble on my wall you best back up what you have to say.
Q u o t e:

Just splashing some blue text into evey Forum post is not service done.

And posting simply to post doesn't actually add to the conversion either, Halfelf, especially if you are simply doing so to be contrary. If you have an issue with how I do my job you are welcome to write to [email protected].

Unfortunately it looks like this thread continues to degenerate so I'll be locking it.
