How many times do botters need to be reported

Botters being reported at the minimum of 5 times (between myself and others who have complained) and still he's in storm peaks bottin away along with 2 other botters. They've been there for weeks on end never logging off, always on the same path, stopping at the same points, using the exact same skills in the exact same rotation....

What gives? I thought Blizzard had a zero tolerance policy on this?

There's a ton of misinformation in this thread regarding out 'care level' regarding bots and exploitation.

Let me start by saying that we care a great deal about bots and botting, and we do deal with them. I'd also like to point out that we take multiple approaches to tracking and addressing this issue.

For example, botters in the Battlegrounds should be reported using the right-click Report AFK system. I understand that might not be satisfying, but even if cleared, these reports help our staff gather information, so that those issues can be investigate and addressed.

Other forms of exploitation are investigated and dealt with as well, though the time frames involved can be frustrating to an outside observer. You need also only report a given situation once, and our staff will look into it. We've covered how we deal with these situations in the past here:

Hopefully those threads will shed a little more light on the situation, but you can rest assured that these cases are not ignored.
Q u o t e:

If it takes over a year for an admitted botter to be banned, then the procedure is flawed and it defeats the purpose of defending the integrity of the game. Two arena seasons pass, titles and rewards handed out, and a failure to act denote apathy on Blizzard's part.

I'm certainly not claiming that it was true in the case you are citing, but not every case that is reported to us is actually a bot, either. Apathy doesn't enter the equation though, whatever external appearances might suggest.
