Banned for account sharing? Please Help!

Hi guys, Please help me as I am asking on behalf of a friend here.

One of my close friends recently got his account closed for account sharing. Before you guys make any judgements, here are the facts:

- He had 2 accounts... Both under his name. One for him and the other for his wife.
- On his account, he played 100% of it, noone else even touched it
- On his wife's account, sometimes he would let his little cousin play (the cousin is a child and is just is trying it out)
-He does not hack, power level, curse, buy gold or anything else...and has never received a ban before.

This guy is a honest family man...and just yesterday he got an email saying they closed his account that was being shared and ALL associated accounts.

I understand it might have been against the TOS for the wife to share her account like that, but it seems WAY TOO HARSH to close both accounts like that on the first offense. Especially when one of the accounts was played 100% by the owner.

Considering it takes hundreds of hours to level a character up to 70 (both accounts had 1 level 70) this just seems totally unfair and unreasonable on Blizzard's part. Especially when we are talking about family members here...it's a technicality at best.

Please do not tell me that my friend and his wife's account are both gone. Please help!

Q u o t e:
The only way to contest this is for your friends to e-mail Account Admin.

[email protected]

Also the wife's account should be in her name. Though it does not matter who actually pays for it.

And the cousin is not supposed to play on either account. The only ones who can are a parent and their child(minor).

Minoru, our Account Administration Department is the only department that is able to take disputes, or answer any further questions about this topic. Also, your friend is will have to contact them from the e-mail address registered to the account. AA will only discuss this matter with the account owner, so please be sure that they know. :0/
