Account Reactivation

I recently reactivated my account after a four month leave. When I came back, most of my items were missing, but I just chalked that up to getting the data back out of the server. This is the second day now and all my items are back, but I can't seem to log on and do anything productive with my main character. Whenever I log on with him, I see a lot of characters named Unknown or none at all. None of my spells can cast, and, I can't log back out; I don't even get into the chat channels. I know this isn't a technical issue, because, I have run WoW on this PC before. Any thoughts?

You might want to try the directions in the Technical Support sticky.

I also recommend reseting your User Interface by following the directions below.

1) Log out of World of Warcraft to your desktop, thereby exiting the game completely.
2) Navigate to the World of Warcraft folder, which is often found in the Program Files directory (the default path is C:\Program Files\World of Warcraft).
3) Either rename (or delete) the WTF, Cache and Interface folders. (Note: If you do not wish to permanently lose any third-party addons you may have accrued, or macros you've written for your characters, you would be well-advised to merely rename the folders, rather than delete them entirely.)
4) Log back into the game by double-clicking WoW.exe, ensuring that you do not reinstall any addons before doing so.
