Posting from a friends account-

I was hacked and banned last Sunday, I was told my account would be put into a department to unban it. I was just going through my emails re-reading some of the things the Blizzard representative sent me and I was wondering if I HAD to do all of these things or if my account would be restored either way.

Q u o t e:
Before proceeding we will need to verify the identity of the registered user before granting the exception of an update to the account in question. Please provide the following information:

1) A legible photocopy of the identification of the current registered account user. Only a government issued photo ID or Birth Certificate will be accepted. (School IDs are *not* accepted.)

2) A copy of the TOU (Terms of Use) form completed and signed. Proper contact information should be used. You may find the TOU form here: http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/BNETTOUFORM

3) A World of Warcraft *CLASSIC* authentication key belonging to a World of Warcraft account that was merged into the Battle.net account.

4) The Secret Question Answer to the Battle.net account.

Can you provide me with the name and realm of one of your characters, Anidia?

Hm. When you spoke with the Billing representative on the phone did he indicate that you'd need to submit additional information to request certain account information be changed, Anidia? If not, I wouldn't worry too much about this e-mail as it does not appear to be a necessary step to take to recover your account and any items that were lost.

I don't recall him saying that, but then again it was nearly a week ago and I can't remember :\

But thanks for your help and I'll post again in a week if nothing is fixed.

Sounds like a plan, but based upon how long you've been waiting, it looks as if you should be hearing back within about 3 to 5 days.

Thanks for your patience!
