Ten... Days...

I guess I'll be the one to ask... I'm sure a lot of people are wondering. Why does the account investigation process take ten days? I realize most of this time is spent in queue. But if there aren't any more account compromises than usual, why isn't Blizzard hiring more investigators? Do they foresee some decrease in workload any time soon?

Blizzard's customer service reps are very mature and helpful but gosh the wait is extremely long for a company that is swimming in money. No customer of any company likes sitting on the phone for hours and I hold Blizzard to high standards. The GM survey asks what players think about the wait so I thought I'd offer some feedback.

There hasn't a notable increase in the percentage of compromises that we've seen but these issues still take time to deal with. Depending on a number of factors, notably the complexity of the investigation, it can take awhile to complete each restoration process.

Many people forget, or perhaps never knew, that we help restore more now then we previously have been able to. Add that to the number of 80's that an account may have, the number of guilds and guild banks associated with those characters, the recovery of professions, emblems, honor, gold, unauthorized transfers, etc... not to mention tracking down what happened to the items/gold.

I understand that you hold us to high standards, Enabler, we hold ourselves to there as well. We hope to be able to address such issues within 24 hours of compromise but that happens by finding the best individuals to represent this company. To train them and to develop the tools necessary to do what is asked of them. We are working to get these queue times reduced, we work to streamline the processes in place to become more efficient.

Though appreciated the feedback would be best offered in the surveys. The CS forum is here mostly to provide advice and some assistance with in-game issues.
