My question is whether blizzard plans on give us at least one day added on to our game time for the accounts who's characters are only on the realms with extended downtime?

This question was addressed by my colleague earlier today. I shall quote it for you below.
Q u o t e:

Compensation for extended down time is considered by a number of different parties outside of the Customer Service department, and this is not a discussion that we--the Representatives of the Customer Service forum--will be participating in. If you believe game time reimbursement should be provided, I encourage you to share your suggestion on the Suggestions Forum to ensure that all appropriate parties are able to see your request.

Our Billing department will gladly take your call; however, I am unable to guarantee that they will be able to provide you with the requested compensation. Should compensation be provided, it will be noted on the following page:

Yeah watch out, say anything besides how great Blizz is and how wrong and stupid we are, the Blizzard apologists jump all over you.

I started that thread that they're linking you, I like how they locked it. How dare I expect to get what I'm paying for!

No, Foulwind, it was locked because the thread was continuing to be argumentative.

The others who posted were trying to provide you with information. The fact of the matter is your subscription only technically pays for access to the account. It doesn't grant you access to a specific realm or character. So in essence, Foulwind, you are getting exactly what you are paying for.

We understand though that such downtime (though needed for the overall benefit of the players on those realms) is an inconvenience for players that may play exclusively on an affected realm so in some cases we very well may provide a credit for the downtime. This is not something that the In-game Support staff (i.e. those of us who moderate this forum) would have prior knowledge of. Which is why Aredek advises that you post in the Suggestion forum if you believed that such compensation was warranted, to provide feedback in the place that it would be reviewed by those who would make that decision.

He also directed you towards the account management page, where you can check if/when a credit is applied as well as encouraged you to call Billing.

You may be able to ask 100 people a question but if only one of them has an understanding of the situation 99 of them may very well agree with the wrong opinion/information.

As this thread seems to be going the direction of the previous one I'll be locking it.
