Banned with reasons that make no sense

I played wow about 7-8 hours ago, then I was disconnected from the game, when I try to login again I get a message that my account got banned.

when I open the email I got a message that my account was closed due to economic abuse, I was shocked why this happens, this account is still new, just reached level 80, and never done a trade with anyone, and believe me, it's not just me who experienced it.

two my dorm friends are also experiencing it but not receive messages in their email. whether Blizzard treats its customers like this, or this software system error in Blizzard? (it's hars)

frankly, me and my friends became afraid to play this game, because many of my friends have an account closure for reasons that make no sense. I also play other MMO games such as AI*N and LOT*O . but we've never experienced anything like this and that's why we love their games and their support.

I hope you guys can give us an accurate reason for what happened with our account.

I'm glad to hear that you were able to recover the account and that the actions could be overturned, Eriviana.

I'm not certain why you would want to test our systems to figure out what may or may not result in the suspension or closure of an account. The reason such information is not released is so we are able to catch those accounts that may be behaving suspiciously. Your own admission was that you played for over 24 hours (by account sharing). Surprise, when it was detected the account was closed. Now the notification you received may not have been clear but you also knew what you were doing at the time. :)

On occasion an account that is playing legitimately may be suspended or closed, unfortunately no system is perfect and honestly if we didn't do what we do behind the scenes to prevent the amount of exploitative behavior that is attempted the environment would be a lot different and not towards the positive fun environment we like to encourage.

I did want correct something here.
Q u o t e:

Because Blizzard assumes if an account is reported for something the registered user is guilty of the infraction.

I'm fairly certain you didn't mean this exactly how it sounds but I wanted to clarify anyway. We do not action based on reports received. We action based on evidence found. If an account is found to be suspicious and exhibits certain behavior it may be suspended or closed to remove what appears to be a harmful element. If disputed, additional investigations can be used to determine if an error was made and the behavior on the account was legitimate.

We try to provide a basic description of the infraction if possible though we often will not go into details which can be used against our detection methods.

Nothing further can be gained by leaving this thread open so I will keep it locked. Thank you.
