Today I recieved an American Express gift card for $100 and want to expirience the horde side of things on one of my other characters. All was well until I got the page where I enter my card info. I entered everything correctly, and double checked to make sure the information was correct. (As I always do :]). So I hit enter and then it came to my attention that it wasn't working. So I tried to enter the information again. Although the card comes with no name holder, I put the name of my current card that is paying for my current recurring subscription to WoW and thought that would be ok. Obviously not. Please assist me as in I'm craving to join the horde!!!

Q u o t e:
Prepaid cards are not a supported method of payment. If it is possible, I would recommend registering the card online so that the system has some information to sync with. Here is a little more information, courtesy of Auryk:

Currently the prepaid credit cards are not officially supported on our site, but that is not to say they do not work. The reason players have issues with these cards normally lies with the fact we check your zip code against the one your financial institution has on file, as well as your name. Some prepaid credit cards do not have this information stored on their card, so when we ping to request and validate it, we are unable to match up the information. That being said, I do know of players that have tied prepaid credit cards and have been successful. I would suggest making sure that the card you purchase has a way to register an address and allowing a bit over the charge you are expecting to have to pay, to cover any pending charges that may be performed on the card.

Once you have tried the above offered suggestion of registering the card, Atonia, I would suggest clearing the cookies and temporary internet files. Once you have tried both of those solutions, if you are still unable to get the card to process you may want to contact our Billing & Account services phone team directly for assistance.
