Recruit a Friend went wrong. Please Help.

Hello. I have recently used the recruit a friend feature to recruit my friend, after we bought the discs instead of using a trial as he knew what the game was like already. We must have done something wrong as the new account (WOW1) is now on my battle.net account instead of his. We made his afterwards but we were never prompted to make him one first. We made one now.

Accounts taken out due to player advice.
