You wouldn't wait 8-16 hours for a burger

And if you did, you wouldn't pay for it and wouldn't let the fast food chain blame you for the problems. You'd want a free meal and maybe some other bonuses to keep your business.

Why then do we keep buying blizzard's products when they

give us rude gms who don't ever seem to understand the problem

give us horrible wait times. 1-4 hours i could handle tickets of important matters, taking 24 hours or more...

ban our accounts from the fourms for no real reasons for example just merely explaining your faith to someone with no foul use of words will get you banned, i know because it has happened to my friends and family and now we are wondering why we are making blizzard rich when they won't even allow free speech on their fourms which is just a commonplace thing in america.

It's saddening. where is the freedom of expression blizz? If someone held you back from expressing yourselves would there ever be a warcraft? let alone a wow?

I'm a proud american i vaule things like freedom and fairness

It saddens me that you as a company don't support the basic laws of the land that your company is based in. If your not going to follow american ideals and ways why make your home here?

Your product is great your gms and service is horrible.

Your only number one because you have no one else out there who can come close to you. I long await the day when another big company brings an mmo to the table it would be nice to be treated well instead of like another number by your gms.

To any players of a less followed faith wicca satanism what have you, BEWARE blizzard does not honor your right to freedom of choice in the matters of faith. They will erase any post you make and ban you. I will not be surprised to see my own account banned.

How has a lawyer not cashed in on this?

We realize that wait times have grown a bit long, and we're working to resolve that. I'm truly sorry if these wait times have been upsetting to you personally at all. On the other hand, I must insist that it is wholly invalid to compare receiving fast food with submitting a support petition. A false comparison creates an unrealistic expectation and misrepresents events.

Has a Game Master been rude to you? If so, can you tell me what your petition issue was in reference to? While I am not in a position to review the matter personally, perhaps I can explain if there might have been some misunderstanding. We value the conduct of our staff very highly indeed, and it is crucial to us that we provide the best service that we possibly can. If you ever have an interaction with a member of our staff that you wish to comment on, please submit an email to [email protected] to let us know about it.

We agree that the wait times are much longer than any of us would like. We are working to address every request as soon as we can, and in the order that they are received. To be fair, individual issues are handled in far less time that you've submitted (generally speaking). The issue isn't how long it takes to address individual issues, but rather, how many issues there are.

We are hiring more staff, as well as taking other steps to improve our ability to reach our players more swiftly - but there are an extremely high volume of incoming requests, and they take time to get through.

If ever you wish to dispute a forum suspension, then you may do so via [email protected]. In fact, that is the only appropriate venue via which to dispute such a suspension.

That said, as moderators, we are charged with maintaining a certain environment on the World of Warcraft forums that is amenable to all of our players. As a result, and as outlined within our forum code of conduct (a document that all our forum goers should review), there are topics of discussion and, yes, means of expression which are inappropriate for this venue. You can learn more here:

Think of World of Warcraft, and by extension, our forums, like a theme park. We endeavor to provide a certain kind of environment, and just like a private theme park, we expect a certain standard of conduct from our guests.

I apologize if you feel that raising one's standard of conduct higher to fit within the codes and policies we've clearly outlined is unreasonable. Our players agree to that standard of conduct when they accept our Terms of Use and our Forum agreement upon logging in. If one disagrees with these standards, then they are free not to use the World of Warcraft forums. It is a privilege granted to our players who have accounts in good standing; not a right nor paid for by one's subscription fee.

A long wait does not bad service make. We pride ourselves on the high level of service that we offer, and I am genuinely sorry if you've ever felt that our standards have fallen below excellence. As before, if ever you have an interaction that you wish to comment on - good or not so great - please send us an email at the feedback address I provided earlier in this post.

From the forum code of conduct I provided earlier:

Q u o t e:
Major Religions or Religious Figures

This category includes both clear and masked language and/or links to websites containing such language or images which:

* Negatively portray major religions or religious figures

If a player is found to have participated in such actions, he/she will:

* Be given a temporary ban from the World of Warcraft forums, depending upon severity

We do not have the authority to honor or dishonor your choice of faith. That is well outside of our purview. In the interest of keeping our forums relatively free of off topic or inappropriate discussion, we do abide by our policies with regard to reported posts. It is also entirely possible that any thread containing controversy or hostility might be deemed as 'trolling'. Without a specific reference, I couldn't say exactly why the suspension was applied, nor am I in a position to review it. I've already provided the appropriate venue via which to do so if you feel that suspension was not merited.

To be perfectly blunt, an attempt to make this discussion about marginalizing any faith is rather disingenuous.

I hope I've clarified why our stances are as they are, but I'd be happy to clarify further within reason.
