Recruit a Friend Fail, thanks alot.

So I made a new friend a couple of months ago. After about a month they expressed interest this game I was playing called Warcraft. So I sent then an email invite and let them borrow my discs.

They signed up for a ten day trial with the email I sent and I confirmed that they were on my list for recruit a friend in my account management. They enjoyed it but were busy and didn't upgrade to a full account till about 2 weeks later.

So I figure I would check my account for rewards, and behold, they are no longer linked to my account for recruit a friend... WTH... so much for triple XP, game credit, and mount. What a bunch of bull.

I allready tried to contact billing and its closed an hour earlier than its normal hours. I already took off my auto payment. Not honoring promotions or even honoring your normal hours for support is poor indead.

So, can someone link our accounts for recruit a friend properly or shall me and my friend move on to another online game.

I dont remember the email on her account. but we both made characters on Bloodscalp. I have several, my friend made a warrior named Fidelma.

Getting our accounts properly linked is what I need to resolve my issues.

The only reason I posted in this public forum is because billing decided it needed to close early today. I know its public, but that doesn't mean I need tolerate people wanting to be blizzard customer service.

I'm sorry, Wraen, but you are mistaken. They did not close early, in fact I just called them and got through to the hold queue. The message that you may have heard regarding business hours states that we expanded our hours and now open up at 7 AM PDT and close at 8 PM PDT.

Even if they had closed the Game Master department would be unable to assist you in properly linking the account.

Links don't simply disappear, meaning when they upgraded their account they likely created a new account instead of upgrading the Recruit a Friend trial account they had. Our Billing department should be able to help you but you will need to give them a call.

You can call 1 (800) 592 5499 (1-800-59-BLIZZARD) 7AM-8PM (PST/PDT) for live representation.
Australian users should please call 1-800-041-378 if the standard 800 line does not work.

Did you or they contact our Billing department and choose to sever the link? I'll take a look and see what I can find.

Ok, quick question. What makes you think that you are not linked? Is it just the webpage display? Did you check it today and see that it wasn't listed as linked or is this something that you noticed before?

It isnt there on web page display and we didnt have access to recruit a friend summon spells either when we played together last night.

Odd. Unfortunately, Wraen, the realm you listed is one of those that is currently undergoing extended maintenance so I'm unable to look it up at the moment. The maintenance period may very well have something to do with it, but I'd like to be certain.

So, what I'm going to do is bookmark this thread and take a look tomorrow when I get in. You are of course welcome to contact our Billing department directly during business hours if you don't wish to wait until I can take a look but I can promise that I'll continue my investigation first thing when I get in and see what happened and how to get it straightened out.

Well, I'll stay on hold with billing and see if they can help or not. I suppose they may not be able to help due to maintenance too then. I would appreciate if you can check in on this issue after maintenance in case it isn't resolved.

Will do. :)

If you return, Wraen, have you checked your account today? It does appear that the account is linked still. Perhaps there was an issue caused by the maintenance period.

Please let me know. :)
