Hey there!

Account Name: ***
Realm: Emerald Dream
Character Name: Contradict
Guild Name: Synergy

Thank you for contacting the World of Warcraft Game Master Department and for bringing this matter to our attention.

Unfortunately, after extensive review of your guild's reported losses, we were unable to determine that theft occurred. It was determined that the character(s) removing the goods was within acceptable withdrawal amounts.

We strongly recommend that guild withdrawal limitations are set to be more conservative to help prevent incidents like this occurring in the future. While we will make every effort to verify and restore your loss, the decision to go forward with a restoration is entirely at Blizzard's discretion. We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience you may have been caused.

**** However, the reported character, Cuddlebug, is still being investigated and it does appear that their account was compromised. If we are able to verify the damages, we will assist in restoring everything possible to the guild leader! *****

For further information please check our Restoration Policy located at (http://us.blizzard.com/support/article/20457)

Thank you again for contacting us. We hope you continue to enjoy your experience in World of Warcraft!

Regards,

So, 40k+ gold was taken from our bank before I was able to stop the process and now we're not getting it restored? Why?

The hacker was on Cuddlebug (whom is an officer) and was inviting, kicking and then reinviting an alt of the hacker (named Sudun). Sudun would get invited and he would be promoted by Cuddlebug to our officer alt rank, then procede to take 500 gold, get kicked, reinvited and do the same thing over again.

This is absolutely absurd if we cannot get that large amount of gold back.

I'm sorry for the confusion, Contradict, but that isn't what was said at all. Outside of the compromise investigation we would only be able to treat such issues as a scam, and a scam could not be verified.

As the Game Master noted your guild mate's case is still in queue for investigation. Once the investigation has been completed you will likely receive several in-game responses with whatever items/gold that may have been taken during the compromise. This was recently clarified in the in-game response generated from your follow up petition.

Queue times are currently around 8-10 days for compromise investigations your guild mate has been in queue for a little over 3 days.

Phew

Thanks much, just the way I read it seemed like we were going to be cut short.

No worries, I know how misreading something can cause a bit of a panic. :) Just know that our goal is to repair as much, if not all, damage that was caused during the compromise.
