Account Banned! Why?

My best friend whom i've played Wow with for over 2 years now has had his account permanently banned and cannot post on this forum, nor get ahold of anyone in any kind of customoer service, he emailed the right people using the FAQ as required, but this is RIDICULOUS!!!!!! His account was banned due to economy exploitation, I've been playing with him for the last 3 days without stopping and i know for a fact he's never bought gold, never used a 3rd party addon, never done anything to violate TOS. BUT YOU DONT BAN THE ACTUAL GOLD FARMERS AND SCAMMERS AND SPAMMERS. you ban the innocent ppl that spent 2 years hard at work on their characters, and i've invested my time away from the military to help this individual, you have definately griefed more than one person by this account banning. My friend and I and my brother all play together, now you've lost 3 customers as i will be stopping my account if his is not restored immediately. Please email me Blizzard or call me as I CAN PROVE that he has not violated any TOS, and yes you are too scared to do that because your too busy with these 4 day waiting lists for other people that you have grieved as well. Thanks for wasting my money and my friends money. You have definately mistaken him or his characters name for a violator in the game at some point.

While I can certainly understand and appreciate your fervor in advocating for your friend, the greatest likelihood in this case is that his account was compromised, and banned for the activities that the compromising party performed while using the account. I would ask that you please take a moment to try to relax and understand that we want to ensure that this matter is investigated appropriately. It is never our intention to take action against an innocent player, after all.

If your friend believes that this account action was levied in error, then from the email address registered to his account, he can submit an email to [email protected] to dispute it. You can also help him by directing him toward the following sticky, since those articles will help him secure his account and navigate the account recovery process:

Finally, should he have any further questions of his own after reading those articles, then he can create a Trial account and ask them on his own behalf. Trial accounts are permitted to post on our service forums; Technical Support and here in Customer Service.
