Hey all,
Just have a couple of quick questions, but first let me explain everything. A really good friend of mine is quitting WOW completely. He is going to go back to school now. He would like to donate his TIME spent to level his toons to me. So, I am going to take over all of his characters. He currently has 2 WOW accounts under one Battle.net account. If I drop the games from his battle.net and then add them to mine, would that be the best way to transfer the toons? Would I merge the accounts or add them with the CD Keys? He is going to give me all installation media and CD Keys, plus all logins.

I also do have an authenticator active on my account, will this work for all 3 copies of WOW on my Battle.net account once they are all merged?
Thanks,
Stan

As the others have said, Thawte, we do not permit the sale, trade or gifting of accounts or characters. If your friend is quitting the game then the account(s) shall remain inactive until he decides to return. If he does not then the account(s) will simply remain inactive.

Indeed.

I believe all of the relevant sections of the Terms of Use and the EULA have been quoted, thanks for those links and quotes everyone.

Starlight, though I understand that some confusion may be caused because of the distinction between the "Client" and the "Service" I can assure you the what has been stated thus far is true. We do not permit the sale, trade or gifting of accounts or characters, this is covered by the Terms of Use which is accepted along with the EULA. One does not supersede the other they both apply with the Terms of Use applying mainly to the "Service" and the EULA applying primarily to the "Client".
