Concern Over Tech Support

Hello, first I'd like to thank those Blizzard employees who take the time to field our questions and work to resolve issues regarding whether they be tech related or otherwise.

That being said, I'd like to express my concern over Blizzard's tech support team... or lack thereof. At a glance the tech support page is obviously riddled with Authenticator removal requests which I am sure are taking up a lot of their time. However, myself and many others have been experiencing a game-breaking latency issue since the 3.3.3 patch was implemented which has been summarily ignored by the tech support staff.

The best way it can be described is here in Boviet's post:

The very limited Blue help we've gotten on the issue, is in my opinion completely unacceptable. In the post which has reached ?42? pages at this point we finally get this:

While it might seem like it is affecting a lot of people it is actually a very small percentage of the player base.

A regional ISP issue that affect a connection to one data center will usually generate enough reports to get the forums moving so fast that the time frame between first and last post on page 1 is under ten minutes.

We are currently closer to the 45 minute mark which is busier than normal but a server side issue would generate a much greater number of reports than we are seeing.

So, they're essentially basing whether or not they help people with this problem or even examine to see if the problem is on their end on the rate at which they receive tickets? I understand that they are busy as I imagine all of you are; but this cannot seriously be Blizzard's policy on whether or not they work to fix an issue. The fact that it "does affects a small portion of the player base" is a pretty daft statement considering just 10% of the WoW playerbase is more than a million people. In addition, there are many people (at least one person from every random I've run this week) who has claimed to have the same issue.

The fact of the matter is, patch 3.3.3 hit and many of us have begun experiencing latency issues which cause the game to be nigh un-playable. I've heard rumors that it's a midwest thing, a Blizzard server thing, and even that you guys signed a contract with Cogent (which I hope to God you didn't actually do). In any case, we the player base, have upheld our end of trying to fix this. I myself have probably spent 72 hours of the past month fiddling with my otherwise operational rig/internet connection to try to improve my latency to no avail.

I don't know what you can/will do about this. I honestly just needed to vent. Being peeved about the terrible latency is one thing but to be ignored when you're asking for help with fixing it because the forum post delta isn't high enough is just plain disrespectful.

Loriya is entirely correct. While our Technical Support department would love to be able to assist all of our customers on the Technical Support forums, it's not realistic as many tech-related issues are fairly unique on a computer-by-computer basis. There is a lot of potential for all players to join a discussion within a thread that looks similar to what they may be experiencing, but in reality several different issues could be to blame.

Please contact our Technical Support department via e-mail or telephone to ensure that you are able to discuss your specific issue with them. This will allow them to troubleshoot your unique issue and follow-up with you if you do not notice improvements. To contact our Technical Support department, please use one of the following methods:
