Solution to gold spammers!

I have a solution to all the gold spammers that have spawned across trade. And it may prove to yield less people being foolish and getting hacked.

Get rid of the 14 day free pass.

That is all these people do. Get a free pass, spam trade for 2 weeks, delete account and make a new one with another free pass.

It is annoying as hell, and we are all suffering, Blizzard and their customers alike.

If they wish to try to hack accounts with fraudulent whispers, or sell gold, make them pay actual CASH for it. That is the only reasonable deterrent that I can think of that could actually work, or make Blizzard a little extra money if they are persistant.

Really? Damn, I thought I had it all figured out. I suppose they already thought of this... Thanks!

Indeed, Semeru, a similar resolution was implemented to help fight the good fight. We are constantly adding other hurdles in the game in an attempt to trip up the advertisements. In the event that you have any ideas on how we might improve our efforts in the future, I would ask that you write up a proposal and post it on the Suggestions Forum. :0)
