What constitutes as a "cheat program" ?

I was recently suspended for 72h for the apparent use of "Unauthorized Cheat Programs."

I would never willingly use a cheat program, so I am wondering, what exactly constitutes as a "Cheat Program" anyway?

I would never hack the game (if I even knew how to) or use anything like that. The only thing I could possibly think of that I use on my computer (that changes my computer's settings, not specifically WoW at all) is Leatrix Latency Fix. My entire guild uses it, so I wouldn't assume that's what flagged me, since nobody else that I knew got suspended.

I also know that according to Billing, nobody else logged into my account, so I know I was not compromised.

I would appreciate any input - I was told through Billing that I may have just "accidentally" been flagged, but this has me really worried. I have ran just about every single virus / malware / spyware program that I have access to, both with the login screen open and gibberish in the fields, and normally... but to no avail. My computer is as clean as a whistle.

I am not looking to have this problem solved, I have already called Billing and had this escalated as well as I have e-mailed wowaccountadmin@blizzard.com . I just want to know if anyone can offer any suggestions to things I may unknowingly have on my computer that may constitute as a "Cheat Program," or anything like that, so that I can get rid of it.

Thanks!

It sounds like you're on the right track. If you can provide me with the name and realm of a character on the affected account, then I might be able to shed more light on the situation as well.

Thank you, I will really do anything I have to so that I can ensure I don't get flagged again. I have had this account for almost 3 years now and have never had so much as a finger wagged at me for something, so this has been kind of a shocking learning experience for me.

Good to know. It looks like this may have occurred because the account in question appeared to be engaging in suspicious and exploitative behavior. More importantly, while I am unable to confirm that an actual account compromise occurred, this might be a very good time to shore up your account security, and to restrict your play from a system that you can secure.
